All of our sunglasses have 100% UV (400) protection. The majority of our sunglasses are equipped with a CR39 lens that is scratch-resistant. Further, the front and the shell are often composed of a five-cylinder hinge to improve the quality of the connection between the temple and the front.

What is UV Light?                                                                                                      Sun gives light, heat and ultraviolet radiation (UV radiation). UV radiation can be divided into three groups, UVA, UVB and UVC. The more energy, the greater the risk of damage, such as skin redness and sunburns.

UVA has a long wavelength can easily pass through glass. UVA radiation is the radiation that is least energy-rich. UVA rays also penetrate deep into the skin and cause the pigment we have to darken and give us a deeper tan. It also causes the skin to age faster and can cause skin diseases.

UVB radiation has a shorter wavelength and is therefore more energy-rich than UVA radiation. UVB radiation is also the radiation that above all causes us to burn ourselves. Most of the radiation is actually filtered out already when it passes the ozone layer in the atmosphere. UVB radiation also starts the production of vitamin D in the skin and increases the amount of pigment in the skin which helps to prevent radiation from penetrating the tissues.

UVC radiation is very energy rich more than both A and B. This is something most of us do not need to think about as all UVC radiation is absorbed by the atmosphere before it reaches the earth's surface.
